The Observer's Seat

Where self awareness often arrives disguised as curiosity

What Is The Observer’s Seat?

The Observer’s Seat is a podcast for people who like to zoom out before they dive in. It’s a place to slow down, get curious, and look at your life from just a step or two back. Each episode blends personal development, culture, and reflective storytelling. We’ll talk about the patterns we fall into, the stories we carry, and the moments that quietly change us—without pretending everything has to be tidy or fixed by the end of the show.

Season One: Taking Our Seat

Season One of The Observer’s Seat starts with a soft launch for a small circle of subscribers on July 30, then opens up to everyone on September 30. Across 8 episodes, we’ll walk through a personal framework I call the Campfire Theory—looking at how humans have always gathered, told stories, and made sense of being alive. Think of it as a slow burn: part history, part reflection, part “wait, why do we do it that way?”—all meant to help you notice your own patterns with a little more warmth and a little less judgment.

About The Observer’s Seat Media, LLC

The Observer’s Seat Media, LLC is a small storytelling studio built around one idea: curiosity creates space for understanding. Through this podcast and future projects, we make room for people to slow down, listen closely, and recognize themselves in each other’s stories.

Meet Your Host, David “Davey Moon” Davis

I’m David Davis, but most folks around the mic know me as Davey Moon. I’m a big fan of late-night talks, long walks, and the kind of questions that don’t always have neat answers.

The Observer’s Seat is my way of inviting you to slow down with me for a bit. Through honest monologues and campfire-style conversations, we’ll look at the stories, habits, and histories that shape us—and hopefully leave you with one good question to carry into your own life.
